Welcome
DISCOVER OVER 1,000 YEARS OF HISTORYA warm welcome to Winchester Cathedral
During the short days and long, dark nights of winter we’re proud to offer you the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market with all its friendliness and warmth. The sparkling lights and festive music speak of hope at the heart of Christmas. We share the Christmas hope that love and mercy, joy and peace come to us from God at Christmas, for the whole world to share. Come and visit the Christmas Market in its beautiful setting of the Cathedral Close, and come inside the Cathedral. Whether you are returning or here for the first time, you will be very welcome.Catherine Ogle Dean of Winchester

Organ tuning
Winchester Cathedral is a working cathedral, which means monthly tuning of the organ.
Upcoming dates to be confirmed.
Regular tuning helps to keep the magnificent organ sounding at its best, but it may be noisier than usual in the cathedral during your visit.
