As well as the TV screens throughout the Nave of the cathedral, there will be a central large screen by the altar.
Services Marking the Coronation of the King
From Thursday 4th May – Monday 8th May, Eucharist and Evensong services will include themed prayers, readings and music to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.
At Evensong on Saturday 6th May, Winchester Cathedral will be premiering a new setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Joe Twist, composed especially for Winchester Cathedral Choir, and supported by a generous donor. Everyone is welcome.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, try a slice of Union Jack Red Velvet & Blueberry Cake or perhaps the Darjeeling Tea, Honey & Milk Cake, inspired by the Kings favourite tea.
For something savoury, there’s Cornish Brie Stuffed Wild Mushroom Arancini, Duchy Organic Tomato Chutney; inspired by one of the Kings favourite dishes & complimented with a chutney based on a Duchy Organic chutney which is a Prince of Wales Charity founded by the King.
Fun Fact
Did you know that the coronation of Edward the Confessor took place in the Old Minster (on Winchester Cathedral grounds), by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York on Easter day, 3rd April 1043.
