The Harvest Festival Celebrations will begin with a traditional Harvest Festival Service at 11am, followed by a new ‘Cry of Creation: A Rally for The Earth’ Service at 3.30pm, which draws to a close Winchester’s Green Week.
The Harvest Festival Service, 11am
The Harvest Festival Service is a traditional and glorious harvest thanksgiving bringing together all the well-loved traditions of the Harvest Festival Eucharist, with readings, thanksgiving prayers and music. The Cathedral welcomes you to bring (non-perishable) food donations to be shared with those in need through a Winchester Foodbank called ‘Winchester Basics Bank’.
There will be invited guests from across the county, including Mayors and Chairs of local councils, the County Council, the Agricultural College and more.
