Curious about the Cathedral and its unique collection of historic books and artifacts? Come and learn more about some of the fascinating treasures from our archive with these drop-in, behind-the-scenes talks led by our Cathedral Curator.

Winchester Cathedral is participating in Heritage Open Days!

The cathedral is home to many historical treasures. From Anglo-Saxon stone sculpture to illuminated medieval manuscripts; rare textiles and printed books, intricate metalwork, woodwork, fine art, and much besides, the Cathedral holds a range of beautiful and significant pieces. What makes these collections so interesting and different from those of a museum, however, is that, in many instances, the objects continue to play an integral role in the day-to-day work and Christian ministry of the Cathedral. Experience these fascinating objects for yourself with these drop-in, behind-the-scenes talks with our Cathedral Curator.
