The Platinum Jubilee marks 70 years of a monarch’s reign and Queen Elizabeth II will be the first British monarch to reach this impressive milestone.
For this joyful occasion, the cathedral will be transformed with bunting and decorations, the air will be filled with triumphant music.
There will be messages from the Commonwealth and an uplifting poem named ‘Holi in Ruislip’, which will be read by Dr Nazneen Ahmed Pathak. The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Richard Chartres will be also in attendance as preacher to mark this special occasion.
After the service draws to an end, everyone is warmly invited to stay in the cathedral for a quintessentially British cup of tea and a slice of cake – a great way to come together as a community to continue the jubilation.
Bring your family, invite your neighbours and spread the word with your friends and colleagues, because everyone is welcome to attend this celebratory service, whether you’re joining in person or via live stream, we look forward to giving you a royal welcome.
This service is free of charge to attend, but pre-booking is strongly recommended, as entry to this service will be on a first come, first served, basis and so we cannot guarantee availability on the day without a ticket.
Online booking opens on Tuesday 19th April. Please book your tickets at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.
