Sea shanty and folk legends The Longest Johns and El Pony Pisador are coming to Winchester Cathedral for a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime performance beneath three enormous sperm whales.

This event has sold out, however there are two further sea shanty and folk concerts taking place at Winchester Cathedral which you may like to attend: 
The Norfolk Broads, Saturday 1st February at 8.00pm
Kimber’s Men, Friday 7th February at 8.00pm

Earlier this year they released The Longest Pony to celebrate English and Latin maritime traditions and the two groups’ long-standing mutual admiration.

You’ll be listening to this unique programme of music underneath three monumental sculptures of sperm whales, created by artist Tessa Campbell Fraser, which will hang from the cathedral’s Nave in this immersive art installation, pictured below.
