Please note that these services are very popular and a queue will form outside of the cathedral prior to doors opening at 5.00pm.
During the queuing period, seats can be provided for those with accessibility needs to allow for queuing in a seated position, please ask a steward upon arrival.
Please note that a small number of seats will be reserved for the participants of the carol service and their families as well as specially invited guests.
The cathedral has a maximum capacity that it must abide by in order to operate in line with health and safety measures, and so, we recommend that you arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Attending online
If you are unable to attend the service in person, don’t worry, as you’ll be able to join online, live, via YouTube or Facebook.
The first carol service of the season will take place on Wednesday 18th December. This carol service has been arranged as a thank you to our volunteers, staff, choir families and Friends of Winchester Cathedral. Although this particular service isn’t open to the general public in-person, you are very welcome to join online.
