Winchester Green Week is a week of events for everyone, organised by local communities, environmental groups, educational institutions, faith groups, local authorities and businesses in the Winchester District.
Caring for creation is one of the most important elements of the Cathedral’s mission, but the task is not simple. Biodiversity needs to be worked at; we have to fight against our instincts to acquire; we need to cater without waste; we need to be aware of the history and politics of the land; and we need to keep working and hoping for justice. The five events listed below are the Cathedral’s contribution to Green Week. They invite us to wrestle with the most vital challenge of our age: to go green and help save the planet.
