The next Church Times Festival of Faith & Literature will take place in person in Winchester next year, Christian charity and publisher, bookseller and distributor, Hymns A&M previously announced. The Festival’s new home is at Winchester Cathedral and the University of Winchester.
It is announced that confirmed speakers include Archbishop Stephen Cottrell, Francis Spufford, Mark Oakley, James Runcie, Gaia Vince, Suzannah Lipscomb, Rowan Williams, and Rachel Mann. A performance by all female a cappella vocal group, Papagena…. And a chance to explore the spirituality of the labyrinth in the university chapel has also been confirmed. Other speakers will be announced shortly.
The theme of the 2023 festival is ‘Mapping the Landscape.’ Believed to the only literary event in the UK with a focus primarily on faith, the event will feature – as always – a mix of talks, readings and discussions with music, art and drama – with high standards of comfort, catering and accessibility. It is hoped that the new home will delight and enthuse the festival’s many supporters.
A full programme and ticket arrangements will be available from early September 2022.
