Friday 21st February 2025

Temporary Closure of Priors Gate for Essential Repairs

From 8.00am on Friday 21st February to 8.00am Saturday 22nd February, Priors Gate will be closed to both vehicles and pedestrians to allow for essential repair work to its threshold stones. The Gate will remain closed overnight to allow the mortar to fully cure and will reopen as usual the following morning.

If you are looking to visit the shops and businesses at Kingsgate, they can still be accessible from St Swithun Street by foot or if you are a travelling by car accessibility is via Canon Street from St Cross road.
